Processes Used To Diagnose Leaks

We Utilize 3 Main Leak Detection Processes:

1] Tracer Gas: It is a complex system involving the drainage of water from the suspected system. Tracer gas consisting of 95% nitrogen and 5% hydrogen is injected into the system under pressure. Hydrogen will escape from the system at the point of leakage and find its way to the surface where it will be detected by a gas detector. The mixture of tracer gas is environment friendly, non flammable and non corrosive.

2] Thermal Imaging: A thermal imaging camera identifies differential temperatures in surface temperatures.Leak Detection Thermal Imaging Equipment Leaking water appears at a different temperature to the building material such as wall or floor slab. The camera permits identification of pipe runs buried under the floor or behind walls and other areas secluded within the building structure. It is non invasive and can be undertaken with minimal disruption.

3] Acoustic Testing: On occasions where thermal cameras fail when pipes are well insulated or buried deep so that changes in the temperature are indistinguishable, sophisticated ground microphones can be utilized to trace and pinpoint the point of leakage.

Regardless of the source or cause of the leak, our public adjusters in Boca Raton have the expertise, experience, skills and technology to diagnose and provide the proof and cost of the damage.
